GriefShare is God’s ministry to people who have lost a loved one because of death.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences, the loss of a loved one because of death. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

Westwood’s GriefShare program has been in existence since 1996.

Its leaders have experienced a loss in their lives and want to help you as you move from mourning to joy.

It is a 13-week program that is Bible-based and Christ-centered.

Based on the size and ages of the group, as well as the individual situations, groups may be divided to meet each person’s needs; i.e. teens, those who have lost spouses/significant others, those who have lost parents, etc.

Also, a Surviving the Holidays event is held each year in early December on a Saturday morning. Event participants review a video and have group discussion with their respective grieving peers, a time of seeing God work in people’s lives who are/have been through grief with their Miracle Moments, and a candlelight memorial service for their loved one.
