Lent at Westwood

Lent is the season when Christians mark the journey of Jesus in the wilderness–– and our own in the suffering and darkness of this world.

The season begins with Ash Wednesday and ends with Holy Saturday (the day before Easter).

At Westwood, we believe that this season can be a powerful spiritual tool for preparing our hearts and minds for the joy of Easter! We hope that you'll join us this Lenten season as we turn our eyes toward Christ.

Lent at Westwood:

  • March 5 - Ash Wednesday Service | A service of confession, reflection, and preparation as we receive the imposition of ashes. 6:30 P.M.

  • March 9-April 13 - Lent: A Journey into Darkness | Our Lenten sermon series will explore what it means to have faith in difficult and dark places in our lives. View the sermons here.

  • April 13 - Palm Sunday | Join us for worship at 10:30 A.M. as we recognize Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem and mark the beginning of Holy Week.
